I. OBJECTIVE:

1. Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

- Talk about problems and ask for advice.

2. Skills:

- Develop speaking’s skills

- Help sts develop the skill of working in pairs and groups

3. Attitude:

 - Serious, positive, proactive, independent to take part in group activities.

 - Showing passion & excitement in studying

 - Cultivate morality, love people, and love their homeland

4. Competence:

- Self-study ability

- Problem-solving ability

- Presentation capacity and reporting

II. MATERIAL NEEDED

1. Teacher: Textbook, lesson plan, cassette player, disc.

2. Students: Students’ books, learning tools, drafting paper and/or extra board, marker

III. PROCEDURE:

1. Warmup: (5m)

Goal: Lead sts into the topic of the lesson

Tasks: Discussing

Method: Ask and answer.

- T calls on some sts and asks some questions about the relationships between schoolboy and schoolgirl now.

(Students free answers)

- Feedback

- Lead into the lesson.

Aim: Sts get form of the conversation
Method: Work individually and then in pairs
- Ask sts to read through the conversation and then choose sentences from a to f to complete it.
- Ask sts to compare their answers with a partner.

- Ask others to give comments.

Aim: Sts understand more about the conversation
Method: Work in groups
- Ask sts to work in groups of 4 to do the read the questions and then answer them.
- Ask sts to write their answers on the vice-board.
- Hang out their answer on board and ask sts to give comments.

1. She was chosen to take part in the English Public Speaking Contest in Da Nang, but her parents don't allow her to go there. They are worried because she has never been away from home	.

ACTIVITY 3: Practice the conversation (5 m)
Aim: Sts practice speaking
Method: Work in pairs
- Ask sts to work in pairs to practice the conversations.
- Call on some pairs to practice out loud.
- Feedback and correct some common mistakes

ACTIVITY 4: Making conversation (10 m)
Aim: Sts practice to make a similar conversation
Method: Work in pairs
- Ask sts to work in pairs and make the similar conversation using the ideas in task 4 and the model of the conversation.
- Call on some pairs to speak out their answers.
- Ask other to give comments.
- Feedback.

A: Hi, John. You look unhappy. What's the matter with you	
B: Well. My classmates keep making fun of me because I got poor grades at school
A: Don't worry. You should ask your teacher for help when having a problem.
B: But the problem is that I don't understand my homework and I can't do it.
A: If I were you, I will find a tutor who explain the lesson again to you and help you with your homework at home.	
B: That's a good idea. I'll try it. Thank you for your advice.	
ACTIVITY 5: Talking about your own problem (10 m)
Aim: Sts know to talk about their problem 
Method: Work in pairs
- Ask sts to give their own problem
- Ask sts to work in pairs to make a conversation about their own problems.
- Go around helping if necessary
- Call on some sts to speak out
- Ask other to give comments.
- Feedback 
- Make an outline of problems.

3. Consolidation and homework:
a. Consolidation: (2m)
- Ask Ss to consolidate the main contents.
- Give feedback.
Suggested answer I can talk about students at home or at school. I can give opinions and advice on how to solve the problems.

 - Ask sts to practice the dialogue again at home and learn the new language
	- Ask them to prepare for the next part.
