. OBJECTIVE
1. Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
- Revise the language and skills they have learnt in unit 9 and 10
+ Vocabulary: Words / phrases related to topics “ Cities in the future”, “ Healthy lifestyles and longevity”.
+ Grammar: Tag questions , Reported speech.
- Practise doing exercises related to the vocabulary and grammar points of these two lessons.

II. MATERIAL NEEDED
1. Teacher:Textbook, lesson plan, cassette player, disc.
2. Students:Students’ books, learning tools, drafting paper and/or extra board, marker
III. PROCEDURE:
1. Warm up: (3 m)
* Aims: Create warm atmostphere before starting the lesson and lead SS into the topic of the lesson.
- Ask SS to retell what grammar points that they learnt/ reviewed in previous lesson.
- SS answer the T’s Qs.
+ Vocabulary: Words / phrases related to topics “ Global warming”, “ Further education” and “ Our world heritage sites.
+ Grammar: Perfect gerunds and perfect participles , Present perfect and present perfect continuous.
+ Practise doing exercises related to the vocabulary and grammar points.
* Lead-in: Inform the class of the lesson objectives: Review unit 9,10 to prepare for the final test.

(8 m) * Aims :Help Ss review the meaning of the words or phrases and know how to use the words in the context. - Ask Ss to do this activity individually, and then compare their answers with a partner. - Check answers as a class and write the correct ones on the board. 2. Complete the sentences with correct form of the words from the box. (5 m) * Aims: :Help Ss review the meaning of the words or phrases and know how to use the words in the context. - Have Ss do this activity individually. Then ask a student to write his / her answers on the board. Check the answers with the whole class. - Listen and mark the intonation patterns of the questions. Then practice reading the sentences. - Play the recording and have Ss do this activity individually, and then compare their answers with a partner. Write the sentences on the board. GRAMMAR ACTIVITY 3: Complete each question, using the correct question tag .(7 m) * Aims: Help SS to consolidate the uses of tag questions.. - Ask Ss to follow the instructions and complete the sentences individually. - Have Ss compare their answers. - Check Ss' answers, and ask Ss to provide explanations for their answers if necessary. -Listen to T’s instructions and do this exercises. * Keys 1.do they? 2.haven’t they? 3.will you? 4.didn’t we? 5.are they? - Pay attention to T’s feedback and make sure the answers then write down on notebook. ACTIVITY 4: Change the sentences into direct speech . (10 m) * Aims: Help SS to consolidate the way to change the sentence from direct speech to indirect speech. - Have Ss do this activity individually, and then compare their answers with a partner. - Do model first the ask SS to follow. Example: 1. ‘Van, you should take a yoga class to relieve stress,’ said the doctor. -> The doctor advised Van to take a yaga class to relieve stress. - Ask a student to write his / her sentences on the board. Check the answers with the whole class. - Pay attention to the T guidance. - Do the exercise following the example. 2. ‘Why don' t you use the new high-speed motorway?’ the travel agent suggested. ->The travel agent suggested using the new high-speed motorway. 3. ‘Kevin, remember to go to your fitness class,’ said his brother. /‘Kevin, don' t forget to go to your fitness class,’ said his brother. -> Kevin’s brother reminded him to go to his fitness class. 4. ‘I' ll call you once a week while you are studying in Singapore,’ said my sister. -> My sister promised to call me once a week while I was studying in Singapore. 5. ‘Don' t work out more than thirty minutes a day,’ our fitness instructor said. -> Our fitness instructor warned us not to work out more than thirty minutes a day. - Do the writing task and listen to the feedback and correct the wrong answers. ACTIVITY 5: Rewrite these sentences, beginning as shown .(10 m) * Aims: Help SS to revise the way how touse reported speech with conditional sts – Type 0 and 1 Example: 1.‘You may feel much better if you start practising meditation.' ⇒ Dr Quan said (that) I / we may / might feel much better if I / we start / started practising meditation. - Ask Ss to do this activity individually, and then compare their answers with a partner. - Write the correct answers on the board. - Check Ss’ answers as a class. - Pay attention to the T and examples , take note the way how to reduce relative clauses using v-ing, to-V and VpII. - Do the exercises in individual. * Keys 2.‘If you want to try natural remedies, you can find useful information on the Internet.’ ⇒ Lan said (that) if I want / wanted to try natural remedies, I can / could find useful information on the Internet. 3.‘If I drink strong tea, I usually start feeling dizzy.’ ⇒ Huong told me (that) if she drinks strong tea, she usually starts feeling dizzy. 4.You use solar water heaters in your home. Consolidation and homework a. Consolidation: (1m) - Retell some main points of the lesson that SS need to focus on. b. Homework: (1m). - Do further exercises on workbook: Reriew unit 9,10 - Prepare the next lesson: Consolidate vocabulary and grammar from unit 6 to unit 10.
