- Link a final consonant and initial vowel in connected speech

 - Use words and phrases related to the topic " Becoming independent"

 - Use to- infinitive after certain adjective and nouns

3. Attitude:

 - Serious, positive, proactive, independent to take part in group activities.

 - Showing passion & excitement in studying

 - Cultivate morality, love people, and love their homeland

4. Competence:

- Self-study ability

- Problem-solving ability

- Presentation capacity and reporting

II. MATERIAL NEEDED

1. Teacher: Textbook, lesson plan, cassette player, disc.

2. Students: Students’ books, learning tools, drafting paper and/or extra board, marker

III. PROCEDURE:

1. Warmup: (7m) Check speaking:.

Goal: Check out sts’ knowledge about the last lesson

Tasks: Fill in the correct word form

Method: Individually

I. OBJECTIVE:

Aim: Sts know and practice vocabulary through exercises.
Method: Work in pairs and work with the whole class.

- Ask sts to complete the sentences
- Have sts work individually first. Then ask them to work in pairs, and compare their answers.
- Call on some pairs to give their answers.
- Ask others to give comments.

ACTIVITY 2: PRONUNCIATION
Aims: Practice pronunciation: Linking between a consonant and a vowel
Methods: Work with whole class
Task 1 (5m)
- Introduce the part and instruct sts to read the demand to know what to read correctly
- Play the tape three times and ask sts to practice reading them.
- Play the recording again for sts to listen, pausing after each sentence.
- Ask sts to study the Note part: Do you know....?
Task 2: (5m)
- Explain the exercise to sts.
- Play the recording and ask them to link the consonant sounds and the vowels sounds.
- Check sts’ answers.
- Ask sts to practice reading the sentences.
- Call on some sts to read out the sentences. Praise sts who pronounce correctly.
- Look at the exercise and listen to teacher
- Listen to the tape and practice reading them.

ACTIVITY 3: GRAMMAR
Aims: sts know the use of to – infinitives after nouns and adjectives.

Task 1: (2m)
- Introduce the part.
- Ask sts to look back activity 4 – getting started and read the note part “Do you know ?” 
- Explain for sts to understand more
Task 2: (5m)
- Ask sts to study note part: “Do you know ?”part 2
- Ask sts to work in groups to do exercise 2 – page 33. Ask them to write their answers on vice-board
- Monitor the activity and help them if necessary.
- Ask sts to hang their vice-board on board.
- Ask sts to give comments.
- Feedback and give correct answers.
Task 3: (5m)
- Ask sts to study note part: “Do you know ?”part 3
- Ask sts to work in groups to do exercise 3 – page 33. Ask them to write their answers on vice-board
