I. OBJECTIVES:

1. Knowledge:

 By the end of the lesson, students will be able to make some conversation about the Asian Games:

- Asking for and giving infformation about the Asian Games.

- Talk about the sports results.

2. Skills:

- To help improve and develop speaking skill.

- Students exchange their opinion to the class.

3. Attitudes:

- Be aware of the Asian Games and feel interested in speaking about the Asian Games.

II. TIME: 45 minutes

III. TEACHING AIDS

1. Teacher:

- Teaching aids: textbook, lesson plan, computer, hanndouts, powerpoint.

- Teaching method: Communicative language teaching.

2. Students:

- Textbook.

- Reading new lesson and looking up new words before going to class.

I. OBJECTIVES:
1. Knowledge:

Class organization (1 minnutes)
T begins the class with some common greetings by saying:
“Good morning, class. How are you keeping today?”
T checks the attendance:
“The monitor, who is absent today?”
Ss greet T by answering T’questions

Warm up (5 minutes):
T gives small activity for class: “Pay attention and answer the questions below”:
(show powerpoint)
T checks and shows the answer.
T leads in the new lesson:

B – Speaking
Ss pay attention and answer T’s question.
Ss do the T’s require
Listen to the teacher
Pre – Speaking (5 minutes):
Work with a partner. Discuss the following questions:
How often are the Asian games held?
How many countries take part in the Asian games?
T calls on some pairs to asks and answer
T checks and gives them feedback.
Leads in to the next part.
Listen to the teacher
Work in pairs to discuss these questions.
Answer the questions.
Suggested answers:
The Asian Games are held every four years.
All the countries in the Asia.
While – Speaking (27 minutes):
Task 1: Work in pairs. Ask and answer questions about the Asian Games, using the information from the table below.
T calls 1 Ss to read the requirement of Task 1.
Explains the requirement of Task 1.
Remind Ss about the ordinal numbers.
Let Ss look at the example below.
Ask Ss about the tense when they talk about the event in the past. 
Ask Ss about the kind of sentence when talk about year and place that the Asian Games were held.
T lets Ss to practice speaking Task 1 with their partners in 3 minutes.
T checks and gives feedback.
Task 2: Work in groups. Take turns to talk about the sports results of the Vietnamese athletes at 14th Asian Games, using the information from the table below.
T asks Ss to read the requirement of the task.
T explains the table then gives example.
Divides Ss to work in 4 groups to asking and answering about the sports results (into 5 minutes).
Call some groups go to the board talking about it.
T checks and gives feedback.
Do the T’s require

Pay attention, answer t’s questions
Work in pairs to do this task.

Read the requirement.

Go to the board talking about it
Post – Speaking: (5 minutes)
Conclusion Task 2:
Ask Ss to work in group, prepare a report on the sports results using the information in Task 2. (3mins)
Call some Ss to present their reports.
Work in group to do this activity. 
Consolidate (1 minute)
What have you learnt today?
Homework (1 minute)
Practice Task 1 and Task 2 again.
Ask Ss to prepare for the next lesson.
