I. OBJECTIVE:

1. Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

- Get more knowledge about compound nouns.

- Know the ways how to form compound nouns and practice using them correctly and naturally.

2. Skills:

- Develop SS’s listening and speaking skills.

3. Attitude:

- Help SS have a sense of responsibility and be more interested in English.

4. Competence:

- Individual and group working skills.

II. MATERIAL NEEDED

1. Teacher: Textbook, lesson plan, reference books.

2. Students: Notebooks, learning tools, draft paper.

I. OBJECTIVE:
1. Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 
- Get more knowledge about compound nouns.
- Know the ways how to form compound nouns and practice using them correctly and naturally.
2. Skills:
- Develop SS’s listening and speaking skills.
3. Attitude:
- Help SS have a sense of responsibility and be more interested in English.

II. MATERIAL NEEDED

III. PROCEDURE: 
1. Warmup: (7m)
Aims: Create warm atmostphere and lead SS into the topic of the lesson
- Ask SS to make words related to the generation gap using these letters:

- Key:

ACTIVITY 1: Review about compound noun (10m)
Aim: Sts know how to make a compound noun
- Ask SS some questions:
- Give examples:
 Basket + ball = Basketball
Eg: I like playing basketball.
 Sea + food = seafood
Eg: Seafood is very delicious.
 Fire + fly = firefly (con đom đóm)
Eg: 
A firefly is a small insect that produces 
flashes of light when it flies at night.
 Racing + car = racing car

- Call on some SS to give their answer.

- Listen to the T carefully.
- Look at the pictures and read the sts to know how to form compound nouns.
Suggested answer:
+ A compound noun is a noun that is made up of two or more words.
 + Each compound noun acts as a single unit and can be modified by adjectives and other nouns.
+ In compound nouns, the stress usually falls on the first word. This helps us to distinguish between compound nouns and free word combinations.
- Remember the ways to form Compound nouns.
- Listen to the T and take notes. 
ACTIVITY 2: Reorder the letters to make words related to the generation gap(10m)
Aims: Sts can review the words related to the topic.
- Ask sts to do exercise 1 – Part B - Workbook page 5.
- Ask SS to find the answer individually and then exchange their answers with their partners.
- Call on some SS to write their answers on board
- Ask others to give comments
