I. OBJECTIVE:
1. Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 
- Consolidate the vocabulary and grammar points of unit 1 and 2.
- Practise doing exercises related to the vocabulary and grammar points of these 2 lessons.
2. Skills
- Develop SS’s listening and speaking and writing skills:

- To be more interested in learning English.

II. MATERIAL NEEDED

III. PROCEDURE: 
Warm up: (7 m)
* Aims Create warm atmostphere before starting the lesson and lead SS into the topic of the lesson.
- Ask SS to form compound nouns with the words in the box.

- Ask other SS to give comments.
- Give feedback.
- Lead into the lesson: We’re going to review the contents of unit 1 and 2..

4. Scotland’s most famous poet Robert Burns was born in 1759.
5. Working on a computer gives me headaches.

-Ask a student to write his / her sentences on the board. Check the answers with the whole class.
III. Skills – Listening. (13 m)
* Listen to the recording about relationship
problems between parents and teenage
children. Decide whether the following
statements are true (T) or false (F) according
to the speaker.
1. Parents sometimes find it hard to talk to
their teenage children.
2. Teenagers always like talking about
their school work.
3. Teenagers hate questions that aim to
check up on them.
4.Parents should push their teenage
children to talk about school, work and
future plans, if necessary.
5.Parents should watch for danger signs
in some teenagers who may smoke or
try using drugs or alcohol.

-Play the recording once for Ss to listen and choose their answers. Play the recording again pausing at appropriate places and highlighting the clues in the listening text, so Ss can check their answers.
Then give the correct answers. For weaker Ss,play the recording several times pausing after sentences to check Ss′ comprehension.
- Do this activity individually, and then compare their answers with a partner.
- Speak out the answers and the whole sts to practise pronunciation.
- Write down the answers on notebook.
- Speak out the use of cleft sentence and write down the form.

- Write the sentences on the board. Check the answers with the whole class.
- Write down the answers on notebook.
- Individual work, read the sts underline key words first.
- Listen carefully, decide the Sts are T or F.
- Exchange answers and compare.

3. Consolidation and homework. 
a. Consolidation: (2 m)
* Ask SS to retell what they have learnt during the lesson.
+ Teacher summaries main points of the lesson.
b. Homework: (1m)
- Do the task again	
- Consolidate all unit 1 and 2 for the written 45 minute test .
