Warmup: (4m) Goal: Lead Ss into the topic of the lesson Tasks: Watch some pictures and guess What countries they symbolize Method: Whole class. T asks SS to watch some pictures and guess What countries they symbolize Key: * Picture 1: Singapore * Picture 2: Malaysia * Picture 3: Viet Nam * Picture 4: Cambodia Lead in: We are going to talk about ASEAN member states. Contents: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities ACTIVITY 1: Pre-teaching vocabulary (8m) Aim: Ss get more words related to the topic Method: Work individually - Give some vocabularies and pictures to illustrate for Ss to find their meaning. - Ask Ss to read the words in chorus 2 times. - Listen and take notes. - Read the vocabulary in chorus ACTIVITY 2: TASK 1- Match each country with its capital city and listen to check your answers (7m) Aims: Ss understand about life skills and reason why we need them.
