I. OBJECTIVE:

III. PROCEDURE: 
1. Warmup: (5m)
Goal: Lead sts into the topic of the lesson
Tasks: 
Method: Individually
- Teacher ask sts to give the correct form of the words in bracket to complete the following sentences.
1. I am .................. to hear about your news (please)
2. The litte boy was afraid ......................... into the pool. (jump)
3. It is ............................ for all of us to visit Ao Vua. (interest)
	- Call on some sts to give their answers.

ACTIVITY 1: Review about how to use to – infinitive after adjectives (8m)
Aim: Sts know more about the way to use to – infinitive after adjectives 
Method: Work in pairs
- Ask sts to look at the three sentences in warm up and remind the way to use to – infinitive after adjectives.
- Call on some sts to give their answers.
- Ask other to give comments and add more if necessary.
- Feedback
- Remind the way to use to – infinitive after adjectives 
- Give comments.
- Check and take notes.
Suggested answer: 
- We often use to V after some adjectives such as: glad, happy, lucky, amazed, surprised, proud, determined, pleased, sorry, disappointed, sad, afraid.
Form: Noun/pronoun + linking verb + adj + to V
(The N/PrN is the subject of the sentence and to V)
- We can use to V in structures with “It” and certain adjectives to make a comment or judgment
Form: It + linking verb + adj (for sb) + to V
(“It” is the formal subject while the infinitive phrase is the real subject of the sentences.)
ACTIVITY 2: Combine the sentences using the to – infinitive (15m)
Aims: Sts can practice more the way to rewrite the sentences by using to – infinitives after adjectives.
Methods: Work in groups
- Ask sts to work in groups of 4 and do exercise 4 – page 19 + 20 – workbooks.
- Ask sts to write their group’s answers on the vice-board.
- Go around helping if necessary and take some common mistakes.
- Hang out the answers of some groups on the board and ask other to give comments.
- Feedback
- Work in groups to do the exercise.
- Write the answers on vice-board.
- Ask the teacher for helping if necessary.
