I. OBJECTIVE
1. Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
- Revise the language and skills they have learnt from unit 6 to 8
+ Vocabulary: Words / phrases related to topics “ Global warming”, “ Further education” and “ Our world heritage sites.
+ Grammar: Perfect gerunds and perfect participles , Present perfect and present perfect continuous.
- Practise doing exercises related to the vocabulary and grammar points of these 3 lessons.

- Develop SS’s listening and speaking and writing skills:

- To be more interested in learning English.

II. MATERIAL NEEDED
1. Teacher:Textbook, lesson plan, cassette player, disc.
2. Students:Students’ books, learning tools, drafting paper and/or extra board, marker
III. PROCEDURE:
1. Warm up: (3 m)
* Aims: Create warm atmostphere before starting the lesson and lead SS into the topic of the lesson.
-Ask SS some free questions about what they did the previous day: What interesting/ what is not?
- SS answer the T’s Qs.
* Lead-in: Inform the class of the lesson objectives: Review unit 6,7,8 to prepare for the final test.

(8 m) * Aims :Help Ss review the meaning of the words or phrases and know how to use the words in the context. - Ask Ss to do this activity individually, and then compare their answers with a partner. - Check answers as a class and write the correct ones on the board. 2. Complete the sentences with correct form of the words from the box. (7m) * Aims: :Help Ss review the meaning of the words or phrases and know how to use the words in the context. - Hav Ss do this activity individually. Then ask a student to write his / her answers on the board. Check the answers with the whole class. - Listen and mark the intonation patterns of the questions. Then practice reading the sentences. - Play the recording and have Ss do this activity individually, and then compare their answers with a partner. Write the sentences on the board. Then ask Ss to practise reading the sentences aloud. - Do this activity individually, and then compare their answers with a partner. Begin each one as shown.(12m) * Aims: Ss know how to rewrite the sentences with a similar meaning. + Perfect gerunds and perfect participles Having VpII: - Ask Ss to follow the instructions and complete the sentences individually. - Have Ss compare their answers. - Check Ss' answers, and ask Ss to provide explanations for their answers if necessary. -Listen to T’s instructions and do this exercises. - Write the sentences on the board. Check the answers with the whole class. - Pay attention to T’s feedback and make sure the answers then write down on notebook. -Listen to T’s instructions and do this exercises. - Write the sentences on the board. (7 m) * Aims: Help SS to consolidate the present perfect tense and present perfect continious tense. - Elicit the form and use of the present perfect and present perfect continuous - Have Ss do this activity individually, and then compare their answers with a partner. - Ask a student to write his / her sentences on the board. Check the answers with the whole class. - Retell the usage and form of the two tense correctly. - Do the task and find out the correct answers. * Key: 1. has been studying. 2. have taken 3. have been learning 4. has been living 5. has finished ACTIVITY 5 Finish the incomplete sentences, using either a participle or to-infinitive clause. (10 m) * Aims: Help SS to revise the way how to reduce relative clauses by participle and to - V. + Ask SS to remember: Relative pronoun + active Verb = V- ing Relative pronoun + passive Verb = VpII (The only, the first, the last . + N) + Relative pronoun + Verb = to V / for Sb + to V - Ask Ss to do this activity individually, and then compare their answers with a partner. - Write the correct answers on the board. - check Ss’ answers as a class. - Pay attention to the T and examples , take note the way how to reduce relative clauses using v-ing, to-V and VpII. - Do the exercises: * Key 1.
