I. OBJECTIVE:

1. Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

- Revise the language they have learnt from units 1-3.

2. Skills:

- Develop reading, speaking, listening and writing skills

- Help sts develop the skill of working in pairs and groups

3. Attitude:

 - Serious, positive, proactive, independent to take part in group activities.

 - Showing passion & excitement in studying

 - Cultivate morality, love people, and love their homeland

4. Competence:

- Self-study ability

- Problem-solving ability

- Presentation capacity and reporting

II. MATERIAL NEEDED

1. Teacher: Textbook, lesson plan, cassette player, disc.

2. Students: Students’ books, learning tools, drafting paper and/or extra board, marker

III. PROCEDURE:

1. Warmup: (3m)

Goal: Lead in the lesson

Tasks: Ask and answer

Method: Work in groups

- Ask sts to work in groups and list all the points of grammar from unit 1 to unit 3

- Call on some sts to tell about some points of grammar

Suggested answer:

Modal verbs: should/ ought to/ must/ have to

-Linking verbs: to be/ seem / feel/ .

- Cleft sentences: It + to be.+ that.

- To infinitive after adjective and noun

 - Feedback

 - Lead into the lesson

-T : Today we are going to revise the grammar and the vocabulary from unit 1 to unit 3

ACTIVITY 3: Listen and link the final consonants and initial vowels in the sentences. Then read them aloud. (10m)
- Play the recording and ask sts do this activity individually
- Ask sts to compare their answers with a partner. 
- Call on some sts to give theirs answers.

II. GRAMMAR
ACTIVITY 4: Complete these sentences with should/ shouldn't/ought to/ought not to/must/ mustn't/have to/has to. (4 m) 
Aim: Sts review about model verbs
Method: Work individually
- Call on a student to remind about the form and use of the modals: should/ shouldn't/ought to/ought not to/must/mustn't/ have to/has to. 
- Ask a volunteer to do the activity on the board while the rest of the class works on it individually. 
- Check sts answers and ask sts to provide explanations for their choice of modals if necessary.

ACTIVITY 5: Rewrite the following sentences to emphasize the underlined parts using (8 m)

- Ask sts to do this activity individually, and then compare their answers with a partner. 
- Ask a student to write his / her sentences on the board. Check the answers with the whole class.
